Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto believes that that company's successor to the popular Nintendo Wii won't be a 3D gaming console, despite the upcoming portable 3DS getting a lot of attention. The reason behind this is because he believes that there aren't enough folks who have 3D TVs in their home, thus making it a less viable idea. He also stated that we shouldn't expect a successor to the Wii to appear anytime soon, as he stated that when the time comes, they will be announcing a successor to it, but it's still some time away.
